Pengkalan Hulu(formerly known as Kroh/Keroh) is the subdistrict capital of Pengkalan Hulu Subdistrict & local government seat of Pengkalan Hulu District Council/Majlis Daerah Pengkalan Hulu located near the Betong of Yala Province of Thailand where is contains the bus terminals, immigration checkpoint to Betong & duty free complex that formerly titled as Second Cameron Highlands due to its mountain range, it is also know as 999 Town because its distances between Betong of Thailand, Baling of Kedah and Klian Intan of Perak are 9 Miles. Klian Intan(also known as Intan & formerly known as Klian Hitam) is the Malaysian Chinese New Village/Kampung Baru where is famous for durians such as Musang King Durian/Raja Kunyit Durian/D197 Durian & Black Thorn Durian/Orchee Durian/D200 Durian etc., only operating tin ore mine of Malaysia since 1907 which is operated by local Malaysian entrepreneur, Malaysia Smelting Corporation Berhad that formerly transported the tin ores by ropeway known as Rahman Hydraulic Tin Ore Mine, Ba Wang Temple that dedicated to Patron God of local Chinese tin miners, Lord Ba Wang Niang Niang(岜王娘娘) & Lord Ba Wang Ye Ye(岜王爷爷) with mural of ropeway of tin ore mine, rainbow coloured stairs to Kung Li Chinese Primary School/S.R.J.K.(C.) Kung Li(公立国民型华文小学) since 1919 about 288 steps & Natok Fried Mee. The Tin ore is the material that used to make pewter, can, solder, chemicals, tin plating & tin alloy etc. Malaysian Chinese New Village/Kampung Baru(新村) is the Chinese village that formed during the Malayan Emergency era.
