Butterworth(also known as Bagan) is the third largest city of Penang & also headquarters of Penang Regional Development Authority/Lembaga Kemajuan Wilayah Pulau Pinang(PERDA) where is named after former British Governor of Straits Settlements, late Mr.William John Butterworth that contains the free trade zone, public hospital, bus terminal known as Penang Central/Penang Sentral Bus Terminal, commercial seaport, ferry services to George Town & railway train services, the Penang Bridge/Jambatan Pulau Pinang which is connecting the Province Wellesley/Seberang Perai & the Penang Island/Pulau Pinang is also located in here. Furthermore, the Butterworth is also the birthplace of local singer, Mr.Tan Kheng Seong/Ah Niu(陈庆祥/阿牛) who is famous for his song called "对面的女孩看过来" & participated the China Media Group Spring Festival Gala Evening(中央广播电视总台春节联欢晚会/春晚) on 2007 & local singer, Ms.Crystal Ong Shir Ching(王雪晶) who is famous for Chinese New Year albums. Located not far from the Butterworth is the blacksmiths village of Pekan Darat since 1841 where is

It is the Chinese temple with well decorative caisson ceiling(藻井) & bas reliefs where is dedicated to Chinese & Taoist Goddess of Star, Lord Doumu(斗姥元君/斗母元君) that founded on 1970 by local believers of Simpah Kuan Im Teng Temple & moved to here on 2000, it is comes crowded during Nine Emperor Gods Festival(九皇爷诞) & Spring Festival/Chinese New Year Night Market before the Spring Festival/Chinese New Year. It is the ferry terminal which is provided the ferry services between the Butterworth & George Town for crossing the Penang Strait that formerly provided the roll on roll off ferry services, it is named after the fifth & fourteenth King/Yang Dipertuan Agong & also former Sultan of Kedah, late Sultan Abdul Halim, it is also contains the railway station & Penang Central/Penang Sentral Bus Terminal. Located behind the ferry terminal is the Floating Cannon Shrine/Keramat Meriam Timbul(大枪公庙) where is the only temple of Malaysia that dedicated to cannon, it is comes crowded during the Mid Autumn Festival of Chinese community, the road to here is very narrow.

It is the first bird park of Malaysia since 1988 where is also Malaysian Association of Zoological Parks & Aquaria(MAZPA) that breeding more than 300 species of birds around the world including the Sulphur Crested Cockatoo, Sun Conure, Painted Stork, Milky Stork, Egyptian Goose, Rainbow Lorikeet, White House Crow, Palawan Peacock Pheasant, Emu, Cassowary, Barbary Dove, Red Billed Hornbill, African Ground Hornbill/Southern Ground Hornbill, Rhinoceros Hornbill, Nepal Kalij/Kalij Pheasant, Reddish Scops Owl and Collared Scops Owl etc. & other animals such as Estuarine Crocodile, Red Eared Terrrapin & Meerkat etc., it is also provided birds show.
