Alor Star/亚罗士打:

Alor Star(also known as Alor Setar/Loqstaq) is the state capital & second largest city of Kedah & also district capital of Kota Setar/Kota Star even the local government seat of Alor Star City Council/Majlis Bandaraya Alor Setar where its name is means small stream of plum mango in Malay words that contains the terminus of Route 7, main stadium of Kedah Darul Aman F.C. called Darul Aman Stadium, branch of National Science Centre, public hospital, bus terminal known as Shahab Perdana Bus Terminal, commuter train and intercity train services & domestic airport services(located in the Kepala Batas but not confused with same place name in Penang) has been titled as Rice Capital of Malaysia. I.Alor Star Tower/亚罗士打塔:

It is the third tallest telecommunication tower of Malaysia about 165.5m high that its architectural design is inspired by paddy because the Kedah Darul Aman State has been nicknamed as Rice Bowl/Jelapang Padi, it is contains the observation deck, sky deck, sky box & revolving restaurant etc. whose can overlooking the skyline of Alor Star/Alor Setar & Mount Keriang/Gunung Keriang etc. The first skyscraper in the world is believed to be the Home Insurance Building from Chicago of United States. Located near the tower are the Kuning Palace/Istana Kuning which is the former palace of Sultan of Kedah that built on 1904 & Sepachendera Palace/Istana Sepachendera which is the former residence of royal consort of former Sultan of Kedah, late Sultan Abdul Hamid called Che Sepachendera that built on 1882. Furthermore, the former site of Pintu Sepuluh Road/Jalan Pintu Sepuluh/Second Street Glutton Street which is named after the only ten shophouses in here during the past that selling local street foods like Claypot Rice, Curry Puff, Mixed Rice, Fried Kuey Kok/Fried Rice Cake, Sugarcane Juice, Coconut Juice, Lok-Lok(steamboat style skewered meats & vegetables) & Fishball Kuey Teow Soup/Fishball Koay Teow Th'ng/Fishball Rice Noodles Soup etc. is also located nearby.

这是约一百六十五点五米高的其建筑设计因吉打州外号为米仓(Jelapang Padi)而受稻米启发出来的全马来西亚第三高的电讯塔，它拥有可瞭望亚罗士打天际线和象屿山等的观景台、露天观景台、空中盒子和旋转餐厅等。全世界第一座摩天楼相信是美国芝加哥的家庭保险大楼。位于电讯塔附近就是建于一九零四年前吉打苏丹的皇宫黄色宫殿以及建于一八八二年前吉打苏丹已故苏丹阿都哈密(Sultan Abdul Hamid)的妻子斯芭占德拉(Che Sepachendera)的前住所斯芭占德拉宫殿。另外，马来名字Jalan Pintu Sepuluh 意译为十个门牌路是因从前这里仅有十间店屋而得名而中文名则源自于这里是通往市中心的主要公路的第二条公路而得名的售卖着砂煲饭、咖喱角、杂菜饭、炒粿角、甘蔗水、椰子水、碌碌/乐乐(火锅式肉串与菜串)与鱼丸粿条汤等当地美食的二条路美食街的前地点也坐落在附近。

 

 

II.Zahir Mosque/查希尔清真寺:
It is the state official mosque & royal mosque of Kedah where is built on 1915 for replacing the old mosque that its architectural design has been inspired by architectural style of Azizi Mosque of Tanjung Pura of Sumatra of Indonesia, it is also the one of oldest mosques of Malaysia where is famous for its columns & arches with calligraphy carvings and the main black coloured dome that surrounded by five smaller black coloured domes with the interior of main dome with carvings etc. Islam is founded by Prophet Muhammad with main symbol is Star & Crescent, its main iconic structure is the Great Mosque of Mecca from Saudi Arabia. Located near the mosque is the Big Clock Tower/Menara Jam Besar which is the clock tower of Alor Star/Alor Setar that built on 1912.

它是建于一九一五年用以取代旧清真寺的其建筑设计受印尼苏门答腊的丹戎普拉内的阿兹兹(Azizi)清真寺的建筑风格所启发出来的吉打的州官方清真寺与皇家清真寺，它也是以其含有书法雕刻的柱子与拱门以及被五座小型黑色窍顶环绕着的内部含有雕刻的主要黑色窍顶等闻名的马来西亚最古老的清真寺之一。伊斯兰教是由先知穆罕默德/穆圣所创立以星月为主要标志的宗教，其最标志性的建筑物就是沙特阿拉伯/沙乌地阿拉伯/沙地阿拉伯麦加的禁寺。位于清真寺旁就是建于一九一二年的亚罗士打的钟楼大钟楼。

III.Sultan Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah Gallery/苏丹阿都哈林展览厅:
It is the former Alor Star/Alor Setar High Court which is built in 1922 has been transformed into the gallery that exhibiting the biography of royal family of Kedah & royal collections of fifth & fourteenth King/Yang Dipertuan Agong of Malaysia & also former Sultan of Kedah, late Sultan Abdul Halim like photos, antique cars & clothing etc. Sultan Abdul Halim is the fifth & fourteenth King/Yang Dipertuan Agong of Malaysia with first term is 1970 to 1975 & second term is 2011 to 2016 & also 28th Sultan of Kedah from 1958 to 2017 who is one of longest serving monarch of the world that can be found his name on the airport of Alor Star & Penang Second Bridge. Kedah Sultanate is founded by Raja Phra Ong Mahawangsa/Sultan Mudzaffar Shah I on 1136. 

这间是建于一九二二年已转型为展览着吉打皇室成员的生平经历以及马来西亚第五任与第十四任国王/最高元首兼前吉打苏丹已故苏丹阿卜杜勒·哈利姆/苏丹阿都哈林(Sultan Abdul Halim)的皇家收藏品像照片、古董车与服饰等的展览厅的前亚罗士打高等法庭。苏丹阿卜杜勒·哈利姆/苏丹阿都哈林是可在亚罗士打的机场与第二槟威大桥找到其名字的全世界在位最久的皇室之一的马来西亚第五任与第十四任国王/最高元首(第一任期为一九七零年至一九七五年和第二任期为二零一一年至二零一六年)兼第二十八任吉打苏丹(一九五八年至二零一七年)。吉打苏丹王朝是由苏丹慕查法沙一世(Raja Phra Ong Mahawangsa/Sultan Mudzaffar Shah I)在一一三六年所建立。

 

 
IV.Hall of Drums(Balai Nobat)/皇家乐器塔:

Balai Nobat is the ceremonial tower which is used to store the nine music instruments of royal music of royal ceremonies of Kedah called Nobat including the Flute/Serunai, Long Trumpet/Nafiri, Drum/Gendang & Gong, since 1907 for replacing the old Balai Nobat. Nobat is the royal music of monarchy of Malay Sultanate of South East Asia has been listed as National Intangible Cultural Heritage of Malaysia. Located behind the tower is the the replica model of arch of Kota Tengah Palace/Istana Kota Tengah.

这是建于一九零七年用以取代旧皇家乐器塔的收藏着九个包括笛子(Serunai)、长喇叭(Nafiri)、鼓(Gendang)与锣(Gong)在内吉打皇家仪式的宫廷音乐(Nobat)的乐器的仪式塔皇家乐器塔。宫廷音乐是被列为马来西亚国家非物质文化遗产的东南亚马来苏丹国的皇室的宫廷音乐。位于此塔旁就是哥打登卡皇宫拱门的仿造模型。

  

 

V.Grand Audience Hall(Balai Besar)/大礼堂:

Balai Besar is the wooden royal audience hall of the Kota Setar Palace/Istana Kota Setar located in the Alor Star City Square/Medan Bandar Alor Setar which is built in mixed architectural styles of Malay, Western & Thai on 1904 with 42 main pillars. Kedah Sultanate is founded by Raja Phra Ong Mahawangsa/Sultan Mudzaffar Shah I on 1136.

建于一九零四年的大礼堂是位于亚罗士打广场内混合了马来式、西式和泰式建筑风格的含有四十二支主要柱子的哥打士打皇宫的木制皇家仪式大厅。吉打苏丹王朝是由苏丹慕查法沙一世(Raja Phra Ong Mahawangsa/Sultan Mudzaffar Shah I)在一一三六年所建立。

 

VI.Royal Museum/皇家博物馆:
It is the former palace of Sultan of Kedah & also former residence of Father of Independence of Malaysia & also first Prime Minister of Malaysia, late Mr.Tunku Abdul Rahman known as Istana Kota Setar/Istana Mak Wan Besar/Istana Pelamin/Rumah Pelamin since 1735 that displaying the history of this building, history of monarchy of Kedah Sultanate, biography of Mr.Tunku Abdul Rahman & royal collections of royal family of Kedah Sultanate etc. Kedah Sultanate is founded by Raja Phra Ong Mahawangsa/Sultan Mudzaffar Shah I on 1136.

Pekan Rabu is the four storeyed market where its name means Wednesday Market in Malay words due to it is formerly operating on every Wednesday that selling local clothes, street foods, seafood products, kitchenwares, tablewares, textiles & handicrafts etc., it is moved from the former site of Tanjung Chali(now known as the morning wholesale market of Pekan Cina known as Cheah Toon Lok Road/Jalan Cheah Toon Lok which the sellers are exchange their goods on the cars) where is founded by former prince of Kedah, late Tunku Yaakob on 1921 to here on 1932, it is famous for Pekasam/Pakasam/Bekasam(the fermented freshwater fish which is made with salt, palm sugar & toasted rice grains etc.), Bahulu/Baulu(Egg Cake), Kuih Karas(Malay Rice Flour Cake), Rose Cookies/Kuih Loyang, Baju Kedah(traditional female clothing of Kedah) & Sarung Batik(the traditional Malay clothing for wrapping around the waist which is made with wax resisted dyeing fabric called Batik) etc.. it is also contains the historical gallery called Galeria Pekan Rabu for displaying its history & selling local souvenirs, it is also comes crowded before the Eid'l Fitr/Hari Raya Aidilfitri/Hari Raya Puasa.

Tok Su House is the traditional Malay house from Bandar Baharu that formerly owned by local called Mr.Tok Su/Che Pian Mahmud & Seri Banai House is the traditional Malay house from Kubang Pasu that formerly owned by a village headman called late Mr.Saad Taib. Traditional Malay house is the house that built on stilts for avoiding the animals & flood.
 
督苏屋是源自于万拉峇鲁从前名为Tok Su/Che Pian Mahmud 先生的当地人所拥有的传统马来屋以及斯里巴奈屋是源自于古邦巴素从前名为Saad Taib 先生的当地村长所拥有的传统马来屋。传统马来屋是建在高跷上用来预防动物与水灾的屋子。

Anak Bukit Palace is the official palace of royal ruler of Kedah State called Sultan located in the royal capital/Bandar Diraja of Kedah called Anak Bukit. Kedah Sultanate is founded by Raja Phra Ong Mahawangsa/Sultan Mudzaffar Shah I on 1136.

It is the Chinese temple where is dedicated to Chinese & Taoist Guardian God & also Buddhist Dharmapala called Lord Nezha/Tai Tze Ya/Marshal of Central Altar(哪吒太子爷/三太子/中坛元帅) that famous for its tallest statue of Lord Nezha/Tai Tze Ya/Marshal of Central Altar with Three Heads and Eight Arms inside the temple of Malaysia about 6 feet high. The Chinese temple architectural style is the temple that constructed based on Chinese philosophy called Feng Shui(风水) with the structure features like dougong/wooden bracket system(斗拱), curved roof & eaves etc.
 
它是以其约六尺高的全马来西亚庙内最高的三头八臂的哪吒太子爷/三太子/中坛元帅塑像闻名的供奉着华人民间信仰、佛教与道教护法神哪吒太子爷/三太子/中坛元帅的华人庙宇。中式/汉式庙宇建筑风格是根据华人/汉人风水哲理来建造像斗栱/木制支架系统、曲线型屋顶与屋檐等建筑特色的庙宇。

Hungry Ghost Festival is the traditional Chinese Buddhist festival for worshiping ancestors & ghosts or spirits on every 14th Day or 15th Day of Seventh Month of Chinese Lunar Calendar & Zhongyuan Festival(中元节) is the Taoist deity birthday which is celebrated the forgiveness of sin of deceased by Taoist God, Official of Earth(地官) on 15th Day of Seventh Month of Chinese Lunar Calendar. XIV.Paddy Museum/稻米博物馆:
Paddy Museum is the first paddy museum of Malaysia about three levels where is displaying the history of paddy farming of Kedah, making process of rice, different type of rices, agricultural tools of paddy farming & fishery & lifestyle of paddy farmers etc., it is famous for its largest mural of Malaysia about 8m tall & 103m long which is painted by North Korean artists that can be viewing by 360 degree on the revolving platform for depicting the scene of traditional villages & paddy fields of Mount Keriang/Gunung Keriang, its building is modelled after bundle of paddy stalks/Gemai Padi. The Rice is seeds of the grass species called Oryza family which is third largest agricultural production of the world.

稻米博物馆是约三层来展览着吉打的稻田耕种历史、稻米制作过程、不同种类的米饭、稻田耕种和渔业的农业用具和稻农们的生活方式等的全马来西亚第一间稻米博物馆，它以其由朝鲜/北韩艺术家们所绘的可以在旋转台上以三百六十度来观看的用以描述象屿山的传统村庄和稻田的场景的约八米高及一百零三米长的全马来西亚最大的壁画闻名，其建筑物是根据一捆稻草来仿造设计。稻米是全世界生产量第三高的农作物的稻属草类的种子。

Mount Keriang/Gunung Keriang is the limestone mountain hiking area & also guano collecting site where is contains the Terus(Induk) Cave/Gua Terus(Induk) where is famous for crystals & the summit of Mount Keriang that can overlooking the paddy fields, it is need to hike by hiring a guide. Located near the Mount Keriang/Gunung Keriang are the stalls that selling the local produced crystals during the past. The natural crystal is the geometrical shaped solid which is formed according to the periodical arrangement of atoms, molecules & ions during the crystallization or solidification. Karst Cave is the cave that formed with soluble rocks that dissolved by rainwater & groundwater whose are contains organic acid.

象屿山(另名为水晶山)是拥有以水晶闻名的Terus/Induk 洞(Gua Terus/Induk)以及可瞭望稻田的象屿山山顶闻名的相似仆着的大象形状的石灰岩登山区兼鸟粪土采集区，它需聘请一位向导来登山。在象屿山附近拥有从前售卖着当地生产的水晶的摊位。天然水晶是一种根据原子、分子与离子在结晶或凝固期间的周期性排列形成的几何形状固体。溶洞是由被含有有机酸的雨水与地面水溶解有溶性岩石形成的洞穴。

It is the Chinese cultural village of local Chinese temple & also Chinese social organization that dedicated to Chinese & Taoist Guardian God & also Buddhist Dharmapala called Lord Nezha/Tai Tze Ya/Marshal of Central Altar(哪吒太子爷/三太子/中坛元帅) known as Alor Star San Sheng Charity Foundation/Pertubuhan Kebajikan San Sheng Alor Setar(吉打三圣慈善福利中心/三圣宫) that its photo spots & exhibitions will be changing every year during the Chinese New Year. Located not far from here is the Sultan Abdul Hamid College/Kolej Sultan Abdul Hamid where is the famous former royal family college & also one of oldest schools of Malaysia since 1908 & moved to here on 1917 has been turned into the public secondary school.
 
它是在每年农历新年/春节期间其拍照区和展览将更换的供奉着华人民间信仰、佛教与道教护法神哪吒太子爷/三太子/中坛元帅的当地华人庙宇兼华人社团吉打三圣慈善福利中心/三圣宫的华人文化村。位于这里不远处就是创立于一九零八年及在一九一七年迁入这里的现已改为公共中学的前著名皇室学院兼全马来西亚最古老的学校之一苏丹阿都哈密学院。

 

  
XVII.Kuala Kedah Fort Museum/吉打港口堡垒博物馆:
Kuala Kedah Fort(also known as Kuala Bahang Fort) is the former fortress of Kedah Sultanate which is built in 1771 that displaying the history of this fort like Kedahan-Siamese War, British colonial era & Japanese Occupation era etc. & also archaeological artifacts of this fort such as cannon balls & earthernware called Pelita etc., it is famous for British Gate/Archway & lighthouse.
 
建于一七七一年的吉打港口堡垒是展览着这座堡垒的历史像吉打-暹罗战争、英国殖民时期与日本统治时期等还有这座堡垒的考古文物如炮弹和名叫Pelita 的陶器等的吉打苏丹王朝的前堡垒，它以英国拱门以及灯塔闻名。

 

 
XVIII.Bukit Larek Geoheritage Site/武吉拉叻地质遗产区:
It is the chert of Early Permian era(between the 25.902 million years ago to 274.4 million years ago) where is formed by weathering has been discovered the micro fossils of Radiolaria. Radiolaria/Radiozoa are the marine Protozoa where can be found in the ocean. Fossils are the preserved remains of living things during the past over several geological ages & microorganisms such as bones, shells, stone imprints of animals & microorganisms & petrified woods etc. & study of fossils is called Paleontology.

它是由风化而成的已发现放射虫的微型化石的二叠纪早期(2590.2万年前至2.744亿年前之间)的燧石。放射虫是在海洋内可找到的海洋原生动物。化石是如骨头、甲壳、动物与微生物的石头印记以及硅化木/木变石等的经过多个地质期保存下来的从前生物残留物以及研究化石的学科叫古生物学。

日得拉是拥有包含了兵马俑展览厅、水族馆、微型动物园、盆栽园与雅石展览厅等的来发公园的前地点、一号公路终站、公车/巴士总站以及公共医院的古邦巴素(被誉为知识城的以这里的前州属来命名的县属)的县府兼古邦巴素市议会(Majlis Perbandaran Kubang Pasu)的地方政府所在地，它也种植着含有甜味和强烈香味的香甜芒，其名字源自于泰文意思为驿站。位于这座市镇附近就是其名字源自于泰文意思为大象跌倒了因为前往暹罗(现为泰国)的载着金花的大象掉入河里而得名的含有公车/巴士总站的樟仑(它也是以马来歌曲《Mimpi》与中文版《飞》闻名的本地歌手李桀汉/李吉汉先生的家乡)以及含有高科技产业园吉打科技产业园、免税区、公车/巴士总站和前往泰国宋卡府丹诺的边境关卡的边境经济特区兼南北大道/南北高速公路(E1号公路、E6号公路与E2号公路)(亚洲公路二号线(AH2)的一部分)的终站黑木山(其名字相信源自于泰文)。位于日得拉不远处就是由马来西亚半岛野生动物与国家公园保护局(Jabatan Perlindungan Hidupan Liar & Taman Negara Semenanjung Malaysia/PERHILITAN)所开的武吉槟榔潮龟保育中心。作为在二零二三年被列为联合国教科文组织急需保护非物质文化遗产的由一群十五到二十个人所呈现的含有歌唱、演戏、舞蹈与对话的传统表演美娘木笼 (Mek Mulung)的诞生地的旺德布村也坐落在日得拉不远处，美娘木笼的名人有被誉为马来西亚国家遗产活人物的已故沙益泰目(Saad Taib)先生。除此之外，其名字源自于一种树的以马来西亚北方大学/北大闻名及拥有公车/巴士总站的新笃也坐落在古邦巴素。

It is the limestone cave Chinese temple of Kodiang(means red hill in Thai word) since 1993 where is dedicated to the natural formed Chinese, Buddhist & Taoist Goddess of Mercy, Lord Avalokiteśvara(观世音菩萨/观音大士/慈航真人/慈航大士)(also known as Goddess of Mercy(Lord Avalokitesvara) of Given Child(送子观音) ) with majority deities statues are natural formation rocks like Lord Ganesha & Lord White Tiger(白虎/白虎爷) etc. The Goddess of Mercy/Avalokiteśvara's Birthdays is celebrated during the Nineteenth Day of Second Month(Birthday), Nineteenth Day of Sixth Month(Enlightment Day) & Nineteenth Day of Ninth Month(Nirvana Day) of Chinese Lunar Calendar. Karst Cave is the cave that formed with soluble rocks that dissolved by rainwater & groundwater whose are contains organic acid. 

这是创立于一九九三年供奉着天然形成的供奉着华人民间信仰、佛教兼道教慈悲神明观世音菩萨/观音大士/慈航真人/慈航大士(同时也是送子观音)的大多数神像是天然形成的岩石如象头神和白虎/白虎爷等的高岭(在泰文意思为红山)的石灰岩华人洞庙。观音诞是在华人农历二月十九日(生日)、六月十九日(成道日)与九月十九日(涅槃日)期间庆祝。溶洞是由被含有有机酸的雨水与地面水溶解有溶性岩石形成的洞穴。

Kuala Nerang(not confused with Kuala Berang of Terengganu) is the district capital & local government seat of Padang Terap where its district name, Padang Terap is named after the field that fulfilled with Terap Trees/Artocarpus elasticus that contains the bus terminal & public hospital, it is also famous for the Kampung Padang Nyior Volcanic Ash Geoheritage Site/Tapak Geowarisan Debu Gunung Berapi Kampung Padang Nyior which is formed by volcanic ash of Lake Toba of Indonesia about 74000 years ago & first dedicated rubber industrial zone of Malaysia known as Kedah Rubber City. Located not far from here is the Durian Burung(not confused with Durian Burung of Terengganu) where is contains the immigration checkpoint to Ban Prakob of Songkhla Province of Thailand.

Pedu Lake is the hydoelectric dam & also fishing site and stargazing site where is formerly contains the resort & provided the boathouse services has been discovered the ancient tombs that submerged into the lake, it is also largest irrigation dam of Malaysia under the Muda Irrigation Scheme about 84km2. The earliest dam that built in the world is Jawa Dam of Jordan.
