Brief Description of State of Pahang Darul Makmur/彭亨州简介:

Pahang is the third largest state in Malaysia & largest state in Peninsular Malaya.The name of the Pahang derived from Siamese aborigines tribe means ore or the tree that named mahang near Pahang River. Darul Makmur means Adobe of Tranquility in Arabic words. The Modern Pahang Sultanate is founded by Sultan Ahmad Shah I on 1882. The state capital of Pahang is the Kuantan but the official palace of Sultan of Pahang is located in the Pekan & the administrative centre will be moved into the KotaSAS. In the Kuantan where is famous for salted fish, visitors can going up the Kuantan 188 Tower which is the second tallest telecommunication tower of Malaysia, learning the Royal Pahang Weaving/Tenun Diraja Pahang in the Royal Pahang Weaving Development Center, walking the one of longest dragon sculpture of Malaysia in the Lao Zi Temple, hiking up the Charas Cave/Panching Cave where is the cave temple & visiting the Bukit Gambang Safari Park which is the largest safari park of Malaysia.
