Bukit Besi(formerly known as Bukit Seri Bangun/Bukit Batu Besi/The Iron Hill) is the town where is famous for its former largest iron ore mines of South East Asia that contains the bus terminal in the R&R Bukit Besi has been titled as Mining Town/Bandar Perlombongan & Historical Town/Bandar Bersejarah of Terengganu. Chemerong Recreational Forest which is the waterfalls recreational area & also one of headstream of Dungun River/Sungai Dungun even the tallest waterfalls of Terengganu located on the Pasir Raja Hill Dipterocarp Forest Zone of Pantai Timur Range that contains the hiking trail to Mount Berembun/Gunung Berembun. Kemaman Museum is the museum which is the former manager office of iron mining company & also former bank that built in the Moorish architectural style on 1920s about two levels for showing the history of Kemaman District, lists of Chief Ministers/State Ministers/Menteri Besar of Terengganu & figures of Terengganu Darul Iman State & Kemaman District from politics, sports, religious, handicrafts & literature including local writer, late Mr.J.M.Aziz/Abdul Aziz Abdul Rahman, local woodcarver, late Mr.Wan Su, local wooden boat maker, Mr.Abdullah Muda & local athlete, late Mr.Kamaruddin Maidin etc. Moorish architectural style is the Islamic architectural style of North Africa, Spain & Portugal that featured the Zellige/Azulejo tiles, domes, Muqarnas, ogee arch & horseshoe arch etc.

Kuala Kemaman is the fishermen's village located near the river estuary of Kemaman River/Sungai Kemaman where is contains the fishermen's market that famous for its international award winning Chinese Primary School known as S.J.K.(C) Kuala Kemaman, anchovies, Keropok Lekor/fish crackers, Satar & Otak-Otak etc. Furthermore, it is also the ending point of largest boats parade of the world about 1180 boats on the 13 September 2014. Located not far away from the Kuala Kemaman is the Teluk Mak Nik/D'Monica Bay Beach which is the beach recreational area & also sea turtles nesting site that facing the South China Sea. The sea turtle is the reptile which is the female will be back to the beach to dig a hole for laying eggs after mating that their eggs are temperature-dependent sex determination(T.S.D.) & the beach is the coastal landform that formed with the sands, gravel, pebble & rocks etc. that carried by the waves to the area.

Kemaman Zoo & Recreational Park is the zoo & also
one of members of Malaysian Association of Zoological Parks &
Aquaria(MAZPA) which is still under development that breeding over 50
species including the Malayan Tiger, Asian Elephant, Bornean Orangutan,
Binturong, Malayan Porcupine, Emu, Ostrich, Cassowary, Malay Tapir, King
Cobra, Lar Gibbon, Peacock, Javan Rusa, Asian Forest Tortoise &
Saltwater Crocodile etc. & contains the free tram ride services,
river cruise and firefly watching cruise along the tributary of Chukai
River/Sungai Chukai called Yak Yah River/Sungai Yak Yah with majority of
firefly species called Pteroptyx tener, photo spot & swimming pool
etc. The first zoo in the world is the ZSL London Zoo of Great Britain
& firefly is the insect that glowing by its lower part with chemical
reaction like bioluminescence during the night on the trees.
